Just thought I'd update on my progress although not good.
Diagnosed Sept 2015 and I have reacted to the following
Aza and 6MP- significantly raised LFT
Methotrexate- severe eye swelling
Infliximab- severe rash across chest and neck
Humira- anaphylactic reaction

Don't even know what else can be tried running out of treatments very fast

Yeah I hope so as well, I'm not supposed to see him until the end of June but seeing as I've reacted to the Humira on the first injection, hopefully I'll get to see him earlier

You are definitely not out of options. As others have mentioned there are other anti-TNFs to try: Simponi and Cimzia, plus non-Anti-TNFs such as Entyvio and Stelara. Moreover, there are others coming along in clinical trials that will be on the market in a year or two - such as etrolizumab, another non-Anti-TNF.

If your doc doesn't know about or won't try these other options, get a new doctor. You need to work with the most motivated and up-to-date doctors to successfully battle this disease.

Anti-TNFs = antibodies that react against Tumor Necrosis Factor, which results in a suppression of the immune system and thus a reduction in inflammation.

Anti-Non-TNFs are also antibodies but they react against something else. In the case of Entyvio, it reacts against a sub-unit of the integrin molecule, which in turn blocks a certain kind of white blood cell from becoming activated by blocking its activation binding site. Which also suppresses the immune system but by a different mechanism.

Stelara binds with the P-40 sub-unit of two different cytokines. Cytokines are soluble protein molecules that signal what blood cells to do something, usually to activate. So again, the activation of the immune system is blocked, by yet another mechanism. That's why there are many options. If one method or biologic doesn't work, try another.

"...what blood cells" in the above post was supposed to be "...white blood cells."

Darn autocorrect.

Cbanner - I had the same issue, but it took 25 years. Look into Anti-MAP. Site is in my signature. Lots of threads on it here too. It treats CD as a mycobacterial infection, which there is increasing evidence for. Also, CBD oil, maybe fecal matter transplant, UVBI and LDN are all non biologics. A combo of these may be best. Hope you find something that works!
