So I've just got changed and noticed a rash down my left arm, and I also had one across my chest the other day. The only medication I've changed this week is Prednisolone to Imuran and Budesonide. Could it be a reaction from one of these? I'm not itchy or feeling many other side effects apart from some nausea and headaches.

Thanks

I have been on azathioprine for a while and have noticed that my skin itches somewhat more than it used to. My skin also seems drier or more sensitive, so I try to use non-irritating lotion. I have not noticed any rashes, although sometimes I get acne on my arms.

Amanda89,
I too developed a rash on only my left forearm. My dermatologist told me it is a side affect of Prednisone. Evidently, the drug causes bruising under the skin and at the same time, it thins the skin. I'm 58 yrs old so maybe the skin thins anyways. My rash will reduce and increase over time. I have noticed that it is reducing at this time as my GI is tapering my Pred. I am now on 5 mg Pred down from 40 mg per day. My rash has never itched or spread beyond my forearm. I'm on Imuran and Remicade as well as Welchol. Hope this helps.
