Hi there, I just wanted to pop in as I've recently been diagnosed with Crohn's and have found this site and the forums to be very helpful.
Reading what others are going through with eating habits and medications is like having a trustworthy best friend with knowledge available at any time.
No major diet changes as I eat healthily, I stopped breads and wheat and changed to a lactose free milk a free months ago and that started my healing, before I was diagnosed as I knew I couldn't tolerate them.
I seem to be very lucky compared to a lot of people here,my specialist says we have caught it early and I'm only only 1g Pentasa tablets, twice daily.
Multivitamin, calcium and probiotic supplements.
I'm off for a bone scan later in the week.
Back to specialist in 7 weeks time and no further colonoscopy or pendescopy for at least two years.
Of course all given I'm feeling ok.
Listening to my body when eating is definitely a must and I'm finding that eating when hungry, every two or three hours, is better than the usual three meals a day.
Thanks all for sharing your stories
