I know a lot of you probably go on liquid diets sometimes, or somtimes you just may drink a nutrition can(slim fast ensure ect) to get in the extra calories for what ever reason. The problem i find with most of these drinks is either they have sugar in them which is bad, or the nutrition value could be a lot better, they always taste nasty, and most of the time may still not help at giving you optimal rest to the stomach. I recommend trying out pivot 1.5, which has to be prescribed by your doc. It can also be covered by insurance as is mine. It's elemental, so it's easier to digest and is specifically made for people with IBD. Also as a crohnnie that does bodybuilding, i can tell you that there is no other can out there that offers such good nutrition value. Pivot 1.5 is also a high protein version which will help in preseving any muscle that might lost to wasting of mulnutrition. Smaller than ensure, and value are:

355 calories
22.2g pro
40g carbs
12g fat

Try it out sometime. It's helped me more over the year than i think of.

I do not know why all of these drinks have to be made with corn syrup! This one is interesting as it contains marine/anchovy oil! That is something I do not think I have seen before in one of these drinks.

Read on the net about this nutrition drink absorb plus, designed specifically for IBD and IBS, and has no sugar or corn syrup. Never tried it, so I cannot say if it is good or not, but here is the link for it:
