Sarah's SEAS supporting document says she very difficult to control refractory Crohn's disease.

Could someone give me a simple definition of what refractory means in this context.

Thanks guys

Refractory Crohn's is moderate to severe disease that fails to respond to treatment or fails to maintain response to treatment.

In Australia this is would be a reason under Medicare to move to biologics or for those already on biologics to move onto different drugs within this class. I imagine it would also open up access to certain drug trials.

Thanks Dusty

Interesting term to use but does fit with being interesting case.

Also fits with the GI comment on the calprotectin result of 192 that it great improvement but still a long way to go.
