Remicade and adhesions

I am not sure that Remicade can. I did read somewhere that it could make things worse. I presume that is if you have active inflammation, but I could be wrong. Have you asked your GI?

Do you happen to have the source of it making adhesions worse? I figured if it fights inflammation that adhesions are the result of that.

It is interesting, I just repeated the search and came across one study (2008) which reported 52 % success with healing stenosis with Crohn's based upon 6 to 15 infusions. Another study (2010) says Remicade is not recommended for patients with stricturing Crohn's. I wonder whether if you have dilation of the stricture during treatment the Remicade may prevent inflammation and therefore the stricture narrowing again. So it seems like worth a go? :)

I know. The only thing about the studies is they don't agree with each other. I think it is worth having medical treatment. I found dilations a temporary solution and end up having surgery.
