If you develop the antibodies to Remicade, does it stop working immediately, or over time? I've been slowly going back downhill, starting after my loading doses. The 4th infusion didn't seem to help much. I had blood drawn this morning for the test, but it takes about a week for it to come back. I have my 5th infusion next Friday, at double the dose. But if I have antibodies, it won't work, will it?

When I built up antibodies to it, I ended up having an anaphylaxis response to it. Very scary. I'm not sure if that is normal when building up antibodies or not though.

What dosage and how often are you taking it? I started out at every 8 weeks, but had to move to every 6 and then every 4 weeks. I started at the 5mg/kg but then had to move up to the 10mg/kg every 4 weeks.

I've been on 5mg/kg every 8 weeks, but I'm going to 10mg/kg next week. Staying with every 8 weeks, though. It doesn't really seem to wear off early-it just doesn't do anything.

well boo! I know I felt pretty good when I went up to the 10mg/kg. I'd talk to your doc and see what he says. That really sucks that its not doing much for you :(

chrisnsteph1022 I seem to have the same problem you do. Seems that every treatment is slowly loosing it's effect.

I'm going friday for 10mg and I'm still at 6 weeks.

Lets hope it works again.
