They changed my infusions from 8 weeks to 6 weeks...I started having trouble about 2 weeks out so they changed it. I fear next time it will stop working all together...Meds always due that with me..They'll work a while and then stop. Has this happen to others?

The loading doses worked right away on my son but then with regular doses he could only make it about 4 weeks before symptoms would return. So we shortened the schedule then upped the dose and finally added methotrexate. Since adding the methotrexate he has had no symptoms.

Thanks Clash..I'll remember what you said in case this doesn't work. I'd hate to go back on methotrexate..it makes my hair fall out.

My son's infusions are done at his Ped GI's IV lab so he is there with other kids and most of them have at one time or are now on a schedule shorter than 8 weeks. There are some that have had to move to 6 weeks but evetually went back out to 8 or 9. So hopefully this will be the case for you and they can adjust your schedule or up your dose then back off on the dose or loosen the schedule once things are under good control! I hope you continue to see improvement from utilizing Remicade!

Same as clash here
DS showed signs at 4 weeks
So they upped his dose.
We don't know if that will work yet since it has only been a week
Also keep in mind Mtx by itself is usually a much higher dose than the Mtx when they add it on to a biologic .
Good luck

I wonder if that is the case with C, as he is on 10 pills every friday, and the pills are 2.5mg(?) and I thought that was a relatively high dose or maybe even the highest?
