For me, it's not the case, but it can be for you. I would say it's different for everyone. For some calprotectin is very useful for monitoring. My doctor pays more attention to my symptoms rather than lab results, I find it especially helpful to have an ultrasound of my ankle or toe joints as they are inflamed from enteropathic (Crohn's) arthritis, so there is still inflammation going on then.
I would talk to your doctor and tell him about your symptoms. There are also other issues that can occur during or after Crohn's that mimic the symptoms, e.g. SIBO or other things, just talk to your doctor.

I am actually having trouble, I am just frustrated with my Dr. It seems
Like everytime I have an issue I have to prove its crohns all over again. I have just a few days of 10mg of prednisone and this is my usual reaction. I start up all over again. I miss my Dr is Seattle. He said every test you have can me negative and you
Can still have CD. Although that's not my case all the time. He did trusted me when I related my symptoms to him.

I had that sort of doctor in between as well, is there any option to see another doctor? Feeling trusted is so important as it's very hard to always perform all the tests, colonoscopies, MRI's etc. If your doctor trust you and you can trust him in return that would probably be much easier and also give you a better feeling. Crohn's itself is hard enough to deal with, so I now wisely decide which doctor I want to see and which one I don't want to ask about my symptoms.

Charlotte-

I agree MUST have trust with this disease. Its not always feasible to see the CD. Symptoms can chage so quickly. it has been a long 5-6 years. The minute I think we are on the same page, he switches directions again.
