Remission

Is anyone in remission right now. And what does that exactly mean for you. I was feeling good for about 2 days and my Dr said my SBFT came out great but I still get cramping. I dont understand what remission is or maybe even a flare. Does a flare mean you have a fever and inflammation? If I dont have inflammation maybe it is IBS. I was told IBS is just as bad as IBD.

I was in remission for about seven years. Or at least for seven years I never saw a Dr., felt great, no pain, no severe D (only after I ate something I shouldn't have), and maintained a fairly normal life with very little medication or discomfort.

I would love to get back to the state. For me, that was remission.

I think I am but I suppose I am still in the post surgical honeymoon state. Fevers and especially night sweats means I am fistulizing internally again and it is off to the IBD clinic in the morning.

What it means to me is eating healthy, no pain and going poop like a normal person.
