Research Participants Needed
Title of Project: Effects of Physical Activity and Stress on Disease Activity in Adults with Crohn’s Disease.
Explanation: This research project is being conducted through Penn State University as an honor’s thesis. If you have Crohn’s Disease and are between the ages of 18 and 65, you are eligible to participate in this research. This study is examining Crohn’s Disease and how physical activity and stress may impact the activity of the disease. You may gain an increased awareness of their current health practices and satisfaction from providing important information that will advance knowledge in the treatment of Crohn's Disease. This research might provide a better understanding of how physical activity and stress affect Crohn’s Disease. The study involves three short questionnaires which should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The questionnaires ask you to provide information about your physical activity, perception of stress, and your signs and symptoms of Crohn’s Disease. As compensation for your time, you will receive a $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com. If you meet the above requirements and wish to participate, email your name and mailing address to [email protected]. The packet of questionnaires with instructions will be mailed to you along with a postage-paid return envelope. Your participation in this research is confidential. The survey does not ask for any information that would identify who the responses belong to. If you have any questions regarding the study, email or call at anytime.
