Resection date set

Well i have had my next surgery confirmed for my resection of another 30cm of bowel, lets hope this puts the Crohns at bay for awhile and that the recovery is no worse than last time. Glad to get it over and done with but still nervous, the rollercoaster ride continues.

When do you go in for surgery?

Surgery is first thing in the morning next thursday 6th October

Hey Jessi,

Thanks the resection went well i am now home recovering and the surgeon was even able to complete everything necessary so i wont require a third surgery as first thought. So the illeostomy has gone and the wound is looking really good, the staples are being taken out friday.

Glad to hear all went well. You have had a rough time to say the least - but the worst of it is over now and you can look forward to a long time in remission.:thumleft:

Its good that the wound is healing well - i got my reversal in june and its only now almost totally healed - though i suppose its not like a scab on your knee - theres some pretty major healing going on in all that muscle and skin :lol:

I can't help but wonder what my life will be like if and when I go through this myself.
