Right side?

There's the rest of your Ileum. The end of your small bowel before the bit that was cut out would have been attached to your large bowel in the same location as before, i.e. lower right, and it seems the disease likes to attack back in the same place even if it is now a different bit of small bowel.

Same for me. Stupid immune system.

Ron,

I hope it is getting better. My doc's in the past have said that if I get abdominal pains that continue to intensify, last more than 24 hours, or are together with a fever to let them know.

Wishing you the best.

Hi Ron! I have a question not advice sorry. I was just diagnosed with terminal ileum and have severe pain on right side. Found out I have a stricture. I'm just wondering what you have gone through with yours and what has worked for you. Being new to this I'm just overwhelmed and I just want to get back to some sort of normal. I've had the pain for so long I don't even know what it would be like to not have it but I'm really excited to find out.

Seven years ago, I had a fistula that had been there for a while. They put me on TPN to let my stomach rest some. My understanding is that they had to remove the terminal ileum and a small part of my colon.
