Hi Everyone,
My mom has been battling Crohn's all of her life, on Sunday she lost the fight. She is in heaven and she is not suffering anymore. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers...

Janet Lee Sprague, 45 of Cape Coral, FL (Jana2die4)
March 2, 1963-August 10, 2008

Janet Lee Sprague was born in Gary, Indiana on March 2nd 1963. Then in 1981 she married Gus Mondragon and they both went to college for Respiratory Therapy and shared two of the happiest moments when they gave birth to her children Gus and Linda. Janet had an exceptional quality at loving those that crossed her path like no one had ever loved them before. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and pets. Janet divorced and moved to Florida where she married Joel Sprague in 1997, and became a mother to Gretchen and Jenny. She loved her job at Healthpark Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. On Sunday, August 10, 2008 our mother, wife, sister, daughter, and best friend closed her eyes and peacefully took her last breath here on earth.

Janet is survived by her husband Joel Sprague and her two children Gus Mondragon, Linda Mondragon. She also leaves her mother Mary Scammerhorn, her sisters Joann, Linda and her husband Don. She also is leaving behind her four beautiful grandchildren Kolby, Marcus, Braden, and Turner to treasure her memory.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Danielle Mondragon in 1982 and her loving father William (Bill) Scammerhorn in 2004.

Her family and friends will unite together to honor her on Saturday August 16th 2008 in Fort Myers at Memorial Gardens .Visitations will being at 9:30am and a service at 11:00am.

Instead of flowers being sent, the family request that all donations be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) at www.ccfa.org in the memory of Janet. Let us all remember her as a smile, a whisper in the wind, the sun upon our face, all the happy times, and a warm embrace.

Thank you for sharing her story. Your outlook on her life and death are refreshing, to say the least.
Please explain what she passed from. Unless that is too nosy to ask.

Your family will be in my thoughts.

Sincerely,
Amy
