safe foods

I'm sure its been done a number of times, but I figured i'd list some safe food choices for me and maybe others can follow suit.

chicken o vegetable broth
salmon, other plain wild fish
plain chicken
non processed tofu
jello (not the sugar free version)
cottage cheese
bananas?
ensure
gatorade
italian ices
honey
yogurts and most dairy
rice
rice or corn based cereals and snacks
potatoes without skin

So far for me it's been; chicken, fish, digestible cookies (the kind babies gnaw on), apple juice (sugar free), cream of wheat, 1% milk, fruit loops (surprised me as I have an intolerance to sugars), mentos (works amazing for my acid reflux lol), and licorice.

I know it varies for everyone, but here is what I can eat anytime:

cream of wheat
bananas
bean and cheese burritos (refried beans)
mashed potatoes
spaghetti
water
ensure
well cooked chicken almost plain
tortillas
toast-white or sourdough
ham sandwiches (no veggies just meat and cheese)
Soup-cream of whatever, chicken noodle

Anything greasy, fried, leafy, chunky, beefy, sugary, acidic will send me over the edge when I am sick. It comes on pretty quick after eating like it is fighting it's way back out of my body!

Right now I am in remission so I can eat pretty much anything. Some things I have to watch, if I eat too much I get pains when I eat beef, salad, french fries. Onion rings are off limits. Anything extremely spicy still hurts. (oh how I miss buffalo wings sometimes). If I eat too much sugar I start getting pains too. I still seem to get exhausted quickly in my opinion. I come home and sleep for two hours after work and sleep 8 hours every night and some days I still feel tired. Crohn's aged me 20 years over night.

What I think safe foods differ for each person. I can only say really from my point of view what I consider "safe" though at the moment it only happens to be apples, grapes, Chicken, some vegetables and half a fat free yoghurt, I can't manage much more at the moment.

Thank you desozapeaterr for your most informative and didactic post. I think you are being modest. Bluetooth Headset is by far the most effective method of achieving maximum health. I wear one at all times, and it has cured my Crohn's Disease! It is miracle!!!!

Voices tell me which foods to eat, which nationally-distributed Multi-Marketed berry juice to drink, how often to exercise! I have made many new friends with Bluetooth Headset! It even advises me how to triple my life's savings!

Bluetooth Headset is miracle!
