Scar tissue

About a month ago i was taken in to hospital with a really sore stomach along with colic and sickness.I wasnt given any meds while in A&E and was told i was fine,But the other day the same happened so i went straight to my local gp she gave me anti sick meds and buscopan.I had another appointment today where she told me she thinks i have an adhesion/Scar tissue that might have been causing a slight blockage,Ive put myself on a liquid diet at the moment.Has anyone had the same problem and what do you think i should do?:yba

You were right to go on a liquid diet but you really need to get in to see your consultant ASAP so they can truly determine what is going on. Blockages can turn into a life threatening condition real quick so it's important that you get this taken care of properly.

I get blockages quite often, and what I do is go on clear liquids only (broth, water, jello, apple juice) for a few days, and then if I can tolerate it, I slowly add in food, but I keep the food really soft like yogurt, smoothies, banana, avocado. Sometimes, if the flare of blockage is bad enough, I'll need to go on prednisone to get the inflammation down. Are you on any meds. Have you talked to the doc about prednisone?
