Hi Everyone after a little advice. My son 13 had surgery in june this year and has been on infliximab since august having had his 3 loading doses. Fourth infusion due on 10th November. He had scopes done on Saturday and the GI said he seen narrowing at the resection site. He said he took biopsies and ordered another MRI to see if needs surgery in the future. He said he could get scope in enough to see that the TI looked good but could get no further. He was happy enough with his labs as the crp and esr are normal. I mentioned the side effects he has been experiencing with the extreme fatigue, nausea, feeling full quickly and painful bm as well as constipation. I also said how he has been missing a lot of school. He said he has other issues and im not sure if he was referring to his aspergers but said its not the crohns or infliximab. Possibly I taken what he was saying up wrong. After going on google I am now thinking that he feels this may be scar tissue and if it is surgery will be required. My mind has been going into overdrive all weekend obviously because the word surgery was used. Anyone any experience of this ? inflammatory marker normal but narrowing and talk of surgery. the only problem with his bloods has been low ferritin an vitamin D.
