Oh, that is an interesting issue to develop, tho a sensitive one to talk about. During my pred days, I experienced a condition that felt like... how to put it?
Extreme pressure.. involving the 'testes' (sorry if that description is way too graphic). In my youth (you know, early stone age era) us males who were 'over' stimulated without things reaching their natural conclusion often said we had a case of.. well, there is a colour of the sky, and things often found on a pool table. (How was that for working around a sensitive topic without resorting to the vernacular?) ANYWAY, for years docs said it was a 'myth'.. 'urban legend'.. ploy by males to get what they wanted from the ladies. Then, ooops. doctors goofed. It does occur. And it is very painfull. Anyway, reason I jumped in on this was that I had that 'sensation', in all its painful glory.. w/o knowing the reason. Personal life at time was functional, but that didn't make those pains go away the way it should, and my age in and of itself meant it shouldn't have been happening anyway. Thing of it is that I have something most of you young fellows don't have. A scar from an operation designed to prevent pregnancy. See where i'm going with this?
Wondering if the drugs, in some of us; or if some rare aspect of the disease can cause such an increase... Like, anabolic steroids reduce the testes. I wonder if anyone screened, tested, evaluated what this type of steriod can do the male reproductive system. In my case, thanks to the snip/snip, any extra capacity resulting from the roids would have had no place to go.. It could very well explain why I had those incredible pains there that didn't go away. (Hmmm, I was going to say it's a long shot, but that would deflect the seriousness of the topic... no, I wasn't trying to be funny). How about I say instead.. that it's remotely possible that roids or IBD can affect some of us in atypical fashions.. no snip/snip, and you're a veritable adult actor. Snip/snip.. and you've got constant pain right there no ice pack will help. I know, I tried.
