Seten wires removed

Hi I had a abscess before Christmas and I had surgery on new years eve to have a seten wire put in. The surgeon says I have a fishula and internal tearing iv had the seten in since in march I had my pre operative assement so I can have the seten removed and to look at the fishula and do investigationa has any one had a seten removed what do they do???? So confussed what happens I'm 24 and my body feels like it's failing my legs hurt my bum crack my belly what next
