Some of my other symptoms are starting to clear up (fatigue, fever, general over-all feeling of malaise), but the dull throb in the lower right quadrant, and below the belly button has intensified into periodic sharp stabbing pains of about a minute or so in duration. This is happening on a more frequent basis in the last few days.

I have to double over and grimace when this happens. Sometimes I let out a moan.

Bowel movements tend to start out okay, but deteriorate over the course of the day in frequency, pain, and liquidity.

Any ideas what might be happening here?

Surgery was in 1990, and that was after an obstruction. I can still remember vividly that type of "Howl Out Loud" pain. This is a little different.

I've booked in sick from work the last two days, as I can only wear sweatpants. Wearing regular pants (even with suspenders as opposed to a belt) is painful. This is with looser-fitting pants too because of my weight loss. Can't put much pressure on my tummy. Very tender.

When do you go see a doc??? You might wanna get into see one now...

I saw the GP yesterday for my Asacol renewal, actually. Other than firing off another email to the Gastroenterologist urging an appointment NOW, there's not much more he can do.

If the pain level hits a 8 out of 10, I'll make a beeline for the emergency room. That's what a fellow Crohnie at work suggested I do.

aw hope both of you, Johnny and Ishy, start to get some relief soon! if not, i agree with Pen - go get some help. let us know how you both are, please.

I'm not on any painkiller yet -- doctor didn't offer and I didn't ask.

Probably at about a seven on the pain scale.

Lower right quadrant can be the Terminal Ilium. I used to have a nagging sensation in that area. It only went away for good after my Chlorine Dioxide treatment followed up by LDN.

I am fairly certain it was the Terminal Ilium in my case because it was the only other spot I had active disease besides my surgical area, which is in a completely different area.

That is just one possibility. I hope they can help you out.

Dan
