Sorry to bother everyone again. Im in a flare and am getting pains in my hips, leg and lower back. Its a shooting like pain. Is this normal? Also havent really gone number 2 since colonoscopy yesterday!!

Mary - I can't tell you if what you're experiencing is normal to the condition, but I've seen your recent posts and I am sorry you're suffering so much right now. I hope you feel better very soon.

:hang:

My husband said he doesnt know if he can support me anymore!!

I am so upset my husband is so sick of me and says Im a burden. I dont know what to do. I feel like dying!!

Mary I do get pain all ove, and that colonoscopy always makes me worst. Pain meds, hot bath, cold packs and low residue diet. Also drink losts of water to get your bowels going again...colonoscopy tends to slow things all the way down for me.

And dont worry about bein a bother.....your NOT a bother!! This is the one place where people understand what your going through....

I'm so sorry to hear what your going through. Sorry that hubby is saying things that aren''t so nice, sometimes hubbys don't know what to do when we are in so much pain they can feel helpless. I do hope he thinks about what he said but as for you I know what its like to be in pain so much it can take a real toll on our minds. Hang in there I know its not easy. Do you have anyone else close to your home that can help you out a bit through this please reach out this is such nothing to play around with when you are so down. And you are never a bother. wishing you well and I am going to pray for you and always remember God cares and you are not a burden.sending huggs your way.:ghug::ghug::ghug:

I am so sorry to hear about your problems and all your having to put up with at the moment. Its a man thing I think cause my husband got very angry because he has to watch me in pain and he wants to help but cant and he gets very frustrated so then we argue.I have explained to him that when I want to have a moan about feeling ill the way he helps is to keep his mouth shut and let me rant cause then I feel better. That helps more sometimes than any docs.Keep strong and you can moan and swear at me anytime if it helps you to cope.Lots of love and hugs

Hi Mary.
So sorry to hear this. The pain is bad enough without the added worry of your husbands attitude. When i was in a bad flare i couln't tell where the pain was coming from, but yes it was shooting down my legs.. I was in hospital at the time so was given strong painkillers. They dulled the pain a good bit.
Please keep posting because people on here will worry if you go off the radar.
Hope things change for the better soon. Hugs!!

I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain. You need to notify your doctor. Also, I was told after my colonoscopy that it is normal not to have a BM for a day or two after due to the prep. Finally, tell your husband he married you through sickness and in health! I hope you feel better soon, Mary!

Wow - I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. I get strange pains after colonoscopies...but the last one I had done was very difficult since I have strictures and I was in more pain than usual afterwards. Back, front...sore all over really. More crampy than anything. Nothing severe though. They always give me a sheet with instructions and a number to call...I would just call them and describe your pain ask if its normal. Do you have family nearby? Someone you can talk to besides your husband?
