Hey ValleysAngel,

I was just about to ask a similar question, then I spotted your thread. I am not experiencing chest pain, but more shortness of breath. It's not that bad that when I walk around I can't breath, it feels more like I can't take a full deep breath.

It's quite hard to explain it's like taking a breath of air just doesn't feel satisfying.

I am in the midst of a flair, currently on Prednisolone until I start Humira.

So just wondering if Pred might have something to do with it.

Sorry if I in anyway hijacking your thread, that was not my intention and I will be happy to start a new thread instead to ask the question.

Thanks,

Cam

Hi Cam129, I've copied this post of yours into its own thread so that hopefully you'll get more responses. :)

Hi cam. I'm currently in a flare and was getting weekly blockages. After every blockage I'd be so exhausted I could nearly take a breath.
It would last a couple of days and go away. Im still exhausted all the time but breathing bettet. Is yours constant?

Have you had your bloods done recently? As Anaemia can cause shortness of breath and tiredness.

One of my kids has pulmonary nodules from Crohn's. The pulmonologist says that the more they look for lung complications in kids with Crohn's, the more they find them (and that she predicts that, in the near future, it will be routine for kids dx'ed w IBD to have a pulmonary consult).

Not sure if the same is true for adults. Good luck and i hope you feel better soon.

Yes, talk to your doctor about getting blood work done.

Both Iron deficiency anemia and Vitamin B12 deficiency anemia can cause shortness of breath so be sure they check both of these levels.

It will help you and your doctor to narrow down the cause. Best of luck to you
