So i have been in denial about my chrons when I was diagnosed the first part of the year. I was extremely sick and then felt much better and thought that he had to be something else (they did a colonospi and insured that it was). But I was not believing them nope not me. Yesterday i woke up with my back aching within an hour my tummy swelled up like i was 8 months pregnant and dirarah and vomiting, i went to the E.R. they put me back on predisoni and im going to a free clinic tomorrow to see a doctor for a check up. I have no insurance :-( . My question for you is that they found air in my bladder when the E.R. doctor did the cat scan and he is worried about that, and also i was on SULFASALAZINE 500 Mg the doctor had me taking 8 pills a day. I felt ex-termly depressed and i weened myself down to 3 a day and did that for about 4 months and then this last week I decided to stop all together and now im sick :-( My question is has anyone else ever noticed depression from this drug and anxiety and what have they taken to ease that. And the air in the bladder??? I want to have some suggestions tomorrow for the doctor??

I'm sorry I don't know about the meds.

Re: air in your bladder. Are you female? Could it be a fistula (vagina to bladder) or it could be intestinal to bladder. I don't know why they wouldn't explain it at the time, nothing like giving you something to stew over!

Yes I am female, it was weird because the doctor mentioned it at the E.R. but it was really busy he released me and then called me 2 at home????? I guess I should find out more tomorrow.

Awbrey, I am on sulphasalazine right now. It is a pain taking the pills four times a day and most of the time I only end up taking them two times a day (4 pills instead of the 8 I am supposed to take). However, I have not had any depression or anxiety related to taking them. I had anxiety prior to being diagnosed with Crohn's so I am on Lexapro for that.

Thanks for the info, I went to the doctors today and he told me that im probly depressed from finding out that I have a Disease rather than the Sulfsalzine, so he put me on prozac, im hoping that it helps :) He seems like a great doctor, and I go see him again in 4 weeks. He wants me to take the 8 pills and we will re- evaluate when I seem him next time to see if we should lower the dose, but he said that until i get this flair up under control he wants me to be on the 8 pills!!! Keeping my fingers crossed not happy about having Chrons, however it could be worse :-( Thanks for all the support
