Hi!
I've had Crohn's for almost ten years now. Apart from stomach ache and such I've never had any real serious symptoms. Until now, that is. It started 6 days ago with fever, head-ache and general symptoms of illness, now it's "just" diarrhea. I'm eating Pentasa Sachet on a regular basis and have now doubled the dose. Have also started taking the antibiotics Ciprofloxaxin.
The problem is I'm in Nepal at the moment and even though I could get to the hospital and probably get some cortisone, I rather avoid it because of all the side-effects.
So, my question is as follows: What are the odds that this will just pass, without getting the cortisone? I don't really have any problem eating, it's just that it gives me stomach pains and that I have to run to the toilet one hour later.
(I know, it actually could be something else, seeing that I'm in Nepal, but it nevertheless feels like Crohn's. Salmonella is the only other infection that would correspond to my symptoms, really.)
Hope for answers!
