Side effects from Asacol and Lialda?

side effects from Asacol and Lialda?

I'm currently not doing well on medicine and I was wondering if anyone had advice on what to take if they have experienced side effects from either of theses medicines. My doctor is no help and I'm losing it not being able to be stable in my condition. I have UC and have for about a year. I just don't know what to do anymore.

I've been Asacol for 6 months. I get sore joints ,headaches and nausea but it reduces D so I'm bearing with it . My doc is useless and I have found it's important to take some steps yourself . Try to stay calm and accept you have a condition which is a disaster sometimes. I've started writing down a list of any food that definitely effects me and stop taking it no matter what. I've found it's very important to stay hydrated and keep active. This forum has proved to be very useful and I have found great support here . Hope tomorrow is a better day , keep pushing your doc.
