Six weeks of abdominal pain

I've had this bad abdominal pain and sweats for six weeks and medicines aren't touching it been admitted into hospital 3 times and they say I have functional bowel syndrome on top of crohns so I've been taking loads more tablets and its not helping me and my crohns consultant disagree with that diagnosis waiting for a capsule endoscopy

I have IBS on top of IBD. It is possible to have both. I suspect you have been given something like buscopan which I am not convinced works, well not for me. I would have thought though that having sweats might indicate it is inflammatory rather than irritable. Have you had a scope or scan recently?

Hi daisy 123 I've been put on merebeverine 135mg×3 nortriptyline 40mg zomorph 10×2 daily but still feeling the same as 6 weeks ago buscopan has never worked for me I've had a endoscopy and ct scan recently which came back normal and waiting for capsule endoscopy hopefully get some answers from that

Sounds familiar. I am on amitryptline 100mg and Oramorp, 5ml when needed. I had a CT scan which showed strictures which then seemed to have disappeared when I had a scope. I saw a dietician and am trying to avoid lactose and gluten, but still having pain. I hope that you don't have to wait much longer for the capsule endoscopy.
