Hey guys sorry I've not been on here for a while, I've mostly either been struggling on with work or sleeping because I'm so knackered all the time!
I had my small bowel MRI end of October and I finally got my results in the post yesterday. The scan shows inflammation in the small bowel particularly in the terminal ileum. It doesn't specifically say I have Crohn's however is it safe to say that I do? I'm seeing a Gastro consultant on Wednesday so hopefully now that there is definitive proof I have inflammation they can start me on treatment.

You don't need to apologize for not being in here for awhile. You may have Crohn's or you may have UC or some other inflammation. What kind of symptoms of you have?

I thought UC only affected the colon? My symptoms are lower right abdominal pain, diarrhoea with mucus and blood, acid reflux and indigestion pain, swollen gums occasionally and pain in my knees and ankles.

Will do :) On the one hand it's not good to be diagnosed with a chronic illness but on the other hand I'm so happy I finally have some sort of diagnosis and after almost a year of feeling crap I can finally be started on treatment!
