Being 16 whilst looking 12 sucks.
About to have my first surgery hoping things will change after.
Any one else small for there age?

Yep! I'm 15 and I haven't grown since I was 11. I'm still 4'11. My numbers are getting better, though, so with any luck I'll see some catch-up growth soon. :p

I find its the hardest part about Crohns i get worried that its possible to spend the rest of my life like this dont know if i could cope with that ><

I am fairly tall person at 6'3. You would think this sounds good but at 140lbs you just look like a sick old bag of bones.

oh geez yes. Every once and awhile I still get the kiddy menus at diners. im 17. Barely 5 ft and just past a hundred pounds. like really? my hands are soo tiny

Post g tube op (then later removal) I gained my weight back in a few months and over the summer and next couple months went from 5 2 at 80 pounds to 5 8 at 135. My dad went through anorexia and he didn't hit his till the last year of college and is 6 1, you'll get there

I'm 16 and people think I'm a 5th grader, even though I'm 5'8".
I haven't gained any wait in two years. I haven't gotten to a hundred lbs yet, leaving stuck at 97 lbs.

Yes! When I was in 5th grade I was mistaken for a kindergartner. I'm 15 now but look like I'm in 6th grade. No one ever takes me seriously!

A little bit of an update - next month I'll be 17, and I'm still barely 5'0! My GI says he'll do a bone age scan once I'm 21, but won't my growth plates have already closed by then???? It seems so counter-intuitive.

People always think I'm at least 2 years younger than I actually am. They always assume I'm really weak. I totally get it.

Hopefully once I hit a sort of "remission" again I'll hit a growth spurt. Same for you guys! I'm having A LOT of pain in my knees and legs right now...it's hopefully growing pains, or it might be arthritis. I hope it's not the latter :/
