Ok...

I'm starting to think what I am currently experiencing is not a flare afterall.

Has anyone else ever gotten "smell" aversions with Crohns? Just the smell of something really sets me off and sends me to the restroom gagging. Add that with constant nausea unless I'm snacking on saltines or drinking lemonaid or OJ...

Been so tired I fell asleep twice at work and passing out at home at 8pm.

The thought of chicken makes me want to puke. The worst right now though is smells...and I've had some mild "PMS" style cramping off and on for the last 2 weeks. Last weekend I was so sure I was getting a visit from AF but didnt...

Ladies...do you sense where I'm going with this?

Could it be that? Or is this just a nasty, nasty flare?

:eek2:

I hate to suggest this, cuz I don't really know you that well, but that completely sounds like pregnancy to me. Any chance?

Yah there is a very good chance. :) Well except for the fact for the past 30 years I've never gotten preggo. I bought a couple tests tonight but I felt kinda silly doing it. I'm sure this is just going to be some freakish Crohns episode.

Nice to know I feel like I"m going insane. :)

Go test for my benefit! I'm dying to know.

And for what it's worth, smells bothered me BIG time during my pregnancies. ;0)

I am going to wait until tomorrow morning since I read that is best time to test ...with the first morning tinkee.

I'm sure I'm imagining all this.

Tinkee. HAha - was that a slip-type, or did you mean it?? It's cute!
Yeah - I was WAY WAY OVER sensitive to smells when I was preggo.

DO YOUR BOOBS HURT?????
That is a GOOD sign of being pregnant, even before the test it can happen!

This is SO true. I had boob surgery, got pregnant two months later and I knew I was pregnant because the morning I put my bra on, well, I basically wanted to die, LOL. They were ultra-sensitive suddenly after losing feeling in them. I glanced at the calender, did some counting and knew right then and there. ;)

More importantly you gave me a good giggle tonight. I needed that. ;)

Thank you.

Btw...it said I was and I"m having a girl. =P

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Congratulations, Mark! You're "with child". Our remote testing system has detected that you're pregnant. The Miracle Of Life has begun! To see whether your baby is a boy or a girl, click the "View My Baby" button below.

It's A Boy!

Mark, you're going to be the proud parent of a baby boy, and just look- isn't he just so damn cute! Based on our remote test results, your beautiful baby boy will weigh about 12 lbs, 6 oz and have brown hair and hazel eyes. Truly a Wonder To Behold!

Jesse Jackson

Wow, talk about "Family Values". As Jesse would say, "The implications of my impregnations has caused contemplation across the nation!"

You know Mark ... you're starting to worry me. There has been a lot of talk today about you having a baby. Is there something you need to share with the class? ;)

hey Kittee you done the test yet??

as soon as i read your first post about smells i wondered about pregnancy... but thought nah, she's talking about Crohn's here lol

please keep us posted!!

Hey guys- took a turn for the worse last night. I'm about to drive myself to yee ol'ER. As much as I cannot afford the co-pay right now, something isn't right.

I had flare pains last night that started at about 3am and they haven't stopped since. I'm going in now rather than later to get some meds so I don't have to suffer this entire weekend.

I was in so much pain last night and on the toilet constantly. So you can imagine I did not feel like doing the HPT this morning. I'll just get the hospital to check.

But yah I just had a double Remicade dose April 22nd so believe me I am not happy about this.

Hopefully back sometime today...Kittee

Well guys- turns out I'm most likely flaring and...7 weeks preggo.

I have no idea how this happened. I swear I had a visit from aunt flo in april. So they sent me home, told me to rest until Tuesday when I can call my GI doc. The ER doc's wouldn't send me home with any meds. ><

So I bought some Ensure and some soup. Looks like I'm liquid dieting this weekend. lol.

The worst part of it all though is having to wait until Monday evening to tell my hubbers the news.

Thanks for being so supportive.

Yah!!! Congrats Kittee. I know I don't know you at all, but I'm still very excited for you. :) I was 8 weeks along before I found out I was pregnant, and I had a period in the first month as well. I was told it's actually more common than people realize. <shrug> Yah... congrats again! :)

Thanks! now if I could just get rid of some of this "flare" pain in my gut. I"m stocked up on ENsure and jello etc...

Any other ideas?

I want to sleep tonight.

Well you see, when two people love each other they take off all their clothes and hug for 1-2 minutes and then the man shakes violently for about 5-10 seconds and the a baby happens 9 months later. I haven't quite figured out the process this is just what i have been told

It only takes 1-2 minutes?

Congratulations! :) And you thought my little online test was a crock? Pfft!

If you're 7 weeks pregnant (and have a regular cycle) that means you're technically only 5 weeks pregnant (since they count pregnancy from the first day of your last period), so that's why you had your menstrual in April!

*Edit* Doh, we're still in May, LOL. You probably just experienced breakthough bleeding then.

Well, technically it's breakthough bleeding, not an actual period, but a lot of women mistake them as a light period. Very common indeed. Ah, one of the many joys of being a woman, ha!

My doctor actually told me that I probably had a light period not breakthrough because I got my period only a few days after conception. But either way, it is kind of the same thing to a woman when she gets it. :)

hehe I"d do anything right now not to feel sick. I am miserable ladies and gents. I"m so sick I'm physically greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen.

And I have this new dog I rescued last weekend and he's driving me bonkers....

I'm sorry you're still not feeling good, but CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PREGNANCY!!!!!!!!!!

Mark - yeah - best to not to let anyone think that you might somehow be involved in that ONLY 5-10 seconds worth of you-know-what.
And Vanessa, that test also told me that I was having a girl, and I am SURE not preggo!

Well =) Yep lol Drew lol.

Thanks Kello and VShirley-

Well guys I puked up my guts last night and then I was finally able to sleep. When I woke up, I ate a few saltines and took a few light sips of water before even getting out of bed.

Then I fed the dog and ate a very small bowl of cereal with soy milk.

So far so good....I'm thirsty though so I'm slowly sipping water.

PLEASE cross you fingers. I really don't want another day like yesterday lol.

Hehe no Pen. ;) Only 7 weeks along.

Raisin Pie? =) Is that some crazy Canadian thing? Just kidding. :)

Raisin Pie sounds similar to an Eccles cake... which is a whole load of raisins in a little pastry case... or a "dead flies cemetery" as we used to call them when we were kids! Always hated them!

I don't live very far from Eccles, as it happens... but I don't recommend it as a place to visit (sorry, denizens of Eccles)!

you need to learn how to hug mark.
though if your having a 12lb baby, you will need to find someone with very long arms

Oh hehe noo.... Sorry, I meant that I'm 30 and I never got preggo before now so I'd just given up on it. ;) So about Oh...8 years of hubby and wife in there. :)

the first 12 weeks are the worst and the last 12 are "heavy" going, the middle bit is great
sharon xx

Thanks Mark and all.

VShirley- I'm doing pretty good today actually! I ate a few crackers and took a few sips of water before getting out of bed this morning, then I was able to keep down a tiny bowl of cereal, a bowl of chicken soup, another bowl of cereal, felt a bit nauseious around 1pm so ate a few ginger snaps and then I ate dinner about 1 hour ago (beef tips and mashed tators) and I feel perfect!

I even went so far as to goto Target and pick DH up a "gift bag" or the "Surprise! Your a Daddy Bag!" lol. I can't wait to give it to him tomorrow.
In side is a baby bottle, a burpee cloth and a card that says "Spit Happens" LOL!

I'm pretty sleepy atm though, I could nod off but I'm staying awake until 8 or 9 so I can just goto bed lol. If I nap now I'll never get to sleep tonight!

Sorry to hear about the flare part, but a baby is such great news!!! Congrats!!!! I hope you feel better soon!!!

make him a dinner with baby corn and baby potatos and ummm lets see what other "baby" food is there.....

baby peas. and mash potato.
does anyone fell the same as me? it feels weird knowing someone is pregnant before the father knows.
sharonxx

Congratulations! This is very exciting news! I just read the whole thread and when i read the first one i thought 'i bet she is pregnant' then i had to read on to find out!! Hope your Crohn's gets better soon tho
xXxXx

On a Full House episode, Beck told Uncle Jesse she was pregnant with the baby corn, baby shrimp and baby back ribs. :p

Congrates hope your crohn's improves with pregnacy mine did but I would check in to the double remicade infusion, they made me get off of it for 6 months before even trying to have a little one. And still had to see a high risk doctor. But all is well carried full term and now have a 19 month old little girl who I pray eveyday did not get my cronh's.

OMG GUys I'm so sorry!

- I did tell him! I gave him a card with a little cute ducky bib on the front of it that said "Spit Happens!" You should have seen his expression at the airport. LMAO

It was priceless!

So far so good, I just found out Weds that it's a GIRL!

We are both so excited. Even tho he kinda wanted a boy...you know...men.

LOL

Anyways *hugs* you guys!!!!!

Don't be pulling no dissappearing acts on us! Congrats on the girl! How far along are you now? Has time really flown that quickly? lol
