So excited - Humira will be here Tuesday!!!

I can hardly wait until my Humira is delivered this Tuesday....with any luck that will put me one day closer to remission and to being off Pred!

One little bummer is that the nurse I have to see for the load doses will be out of the office until the following week. I am seriously considering just loading on my own at home...I am not worried or afraid of giving the injections at all so why not?!!??!?!

OK, I know, there are very good reasons to wait an go by the rules on this one and I'm sure I will, it is just so hard to wait!!!

hehe i know how you feel i was so happy when they called and said humira was on its way.. let me tell you i feel greatttttt.. i did bio and it was normal, no rashes, i did have a little headache but nothing to crazy. also you might sleep alot the first 2 days, but it is sooo worth it.. for the first time in 2 years i out ate my family haha, i usually only eat 5 spoon of food and that will fill me, this time i ate 2 plate of food and i was enjoying every min of it.. i am still on prednisone till the ending of the month then im completely off of it so thats a good thing to look forward to with you also.. yayyy we will be happier and healthier.. im so excited for you and me both. good luck

How soon after starting Humira did you feel better?

maybe its in my mind but first 2 days i was tired but i was able to eat really well the second day, i even ate late at night to test it and no pain, but im not gonna push it at all. the real test will be at the end of the month when im off prednisone. this week im doing every other day 5 mg pred, usually by now i would be flareing but we will see what happens when im completely off

It took a few weeks to really start feeling better. Humira has to build up in your system, even with the initial starter doses. But I did not have to phase off of prednisone when I started Humira.
