Tomorrow my 14 year old son will be undertaking his 3rd charity event to raise funds for his hospital to provide things for the wards he uses. His first event raised £234 then last year his mini triathlon with 5 friends raised £2000 for televisions for the ward.
Tomorrow sees him and 10 friends cover the marathon dstance of 26.2 miles with a combination of swimming, cycling and running. He is unable to do all of these but he has organised it and will cycle and do a short run. His amazing friends(boys and girls) will help him out. they have reaised £1070 which my hubby can match pound for pound through work so he is over the £2000 mark again.
I just wanted to share as 1. these are 14 year olds who could say they can't be bothered 2. it is snowing here 3. teenagers CAN be amazing.
We know our crohns kids are amazing but his friends are supporting him all the way.

Don't give up anyone and doing something positive really helps him especially as he is giving something back to those who are helping him
