I have been feeling pretty good since starting the Entocort 3 weeks ago. Past couple of days food starting to give me gas, abdominal cramping and running for the bathroom. I was feeling depressed and said what the hell and ate a piece of pizza since I was already feeling crappy. Had to take a Tylenol with codeine as the stomach started with a dull ache. This morning painful cramps after eating a scrambled egg and piece of toast. While grocery shopping nausea overcame me and now have increasing abdominal pain. I'm trying to tough it out. Took a Zofran for the nausea.

I'm at a loss as what to do. I'm praying it all settles down so I can see this specialist in 3 weeks! :(

I sympathise, having broken my low residue diet for a chinese. My recommendation would be keep off codeine until it passes as it can make it worse and just low residue foods when you feel able to eat again.

Thanks. Right now I'm only drinking soda. I'll try some chicken and rice soup later. I'm thinking of just staying on a semi liquid diet for the next 24 hours. But then the million dollar question is what can I eat? I hate this disease!!! I was thinking of taking a day trip tomorrow since it's so beautiful here in Maryland. Well I'm not gonna chance it now!!

The only time diet is an issue for me is when I have strictures, and I do manage most of the time on the low residue diet at the moment. I wouldn't let it stop you going out, just keep off fibre at the moment :ghug:

I would be careful with drinking soda, the caffeine and high amounts of sugar and cause upset.
You can try the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast) for 24 hours and see if that makes a difference
Hope you feel better
