Chloe has a blockage that the doc saw on an x-ray on Friday. I have given her 4 enemas and 1 supository tonight. The supository was he__. Still crying from it. Does anyone know what the next step may be if it is not gone? He told us he wanted to go from bottom first and then top. She has gone each time after enema and supository. The other day she went on her own. I called the doc today and waiting for call back.

Sorry needed to vent I am ready to cry. This part really sucks!!!

Sorry, no experience either but also sorry that you both have to deal with this! I hope the enemas and suppositories do the trick though! :ghug:

Belly rubs work like a charm. Begin on her right side (ascending colon) and up over navel, down on her left side (descending colon) and down around and back up to right side. Go lightly as you see how she tolerates it. You may feel a hard belly. As you keep doing this, you will feel it get softer. I would suggest you do this daily and as often as possible. If you can do this before she goes to sleep, it may help her be more comfortable in night. It will get to a point that she will fall asleep when you do this. She should then be able to move on her own daily. This is getting circulation to the area and help her possibly move along. I used this on my 2 yr old niece when she was horribly constipated due to raisin allergy and then she learned to do it herself. She is now 11 and says she still does it now and then. She will still ask me to do it for her when she comes over and it's around bedtime. Calms down the belly and relaxes the sinews. Worth a shot!

Have you seen the teddy bears that you put in the microwave to use like heating pads? I highly recommend them. You can also keep them in the freezer to use like ice packs (no melting ice YAY!) With little ones it helps and you don't have those yucky electrical cords that always twist. Having a cute teddy bear to hug during moments of pain is a great big bonus. I am so sorry you and Chloe have to go through this. Sending you both a hug.

It surely does suck Mum, poor little love...

Has Chloe been yet? Have you heard back from the doc?

Thinking of you,
