As we all take some vitamin supplements, should we be concerned? What are your views on this?

since most of us have many dietary restrictions (especially vegetables and fruits), we need supplements to have at least the 100% RDA vitamines and minerals our bodies require. So, should we only stick to a 100% RDA multi like Centrum and not take extra doses of other vitamines like C & E etc.....? What about all the concerns on Centrum being a synthetic multi with no benefit and maybe hazards due to all the preservatives in it?

This whole supplement issue is very Confusing !!!!!!!!!!!!
