Oh my god!! I'm sooooooo sorry for this rant! But I must tell people who understand!!
Ok so I'm having a discussion with a certain someone this morning about general stuff like walking the dog, and I happened to say 'I don't think il make it as far as our usual hike I'm feeling quite tired' (recently diagnosed and still trying to find a treatment that works.)
And I got a response of ' it's only crohn's, sick of u moaning'
.... What the f*** gives anyone the right to say that!
I take it if I had cancer it would be exceptable to moan!? But because crohns isn't really well known or the seriousness of it isn't well know, people think it's not ok for us to moan or bitch when we r in pain!
I don't understand healthy people! Lol!

Ok rant over, back to work.

Xxxxxx

I TOTALLY understand!!! I have one of those at my place too!!! lol
It's like if they can't SEE the actual problem then it's not really real to them >:{
One time he had the flu and was on the toilet almost constantly for a day...... I said "ppppffffttt, just another day in the life of Crohn's" LOL

Hope you find your treatment plan soon!!

Tammi xx

screw whoever it was that said that to you. I hope you yelled at them. People need to get called out for that sort of thing so that they quit it.

yeah, i get angry all the time when people don't believe your sick unless they can see it from the outside. LIke for example a broken leg. if i were i would tell to f off in a good old fashion way .LOL:D

Yea, it is either you aren't really sick because it doesn't show, or it is all in your head and it is because of stress. I have a coworker that thinks that everything is caused by stress. She just doesn't seem to understand that it is a real disease, not just my inability to cope with the job.

Oh I understand. People think that unless it is visible to them you are not sick. Totally believable, to anyone who has ever had a chronic illness.

Hi Folks!
Count me in too!
I get it all the time, people think it is just a case of the shxts, and will be better tomorrow.
I share your pain, I'm in the middle of the biggest flare yet-feel horrible.

I live in Scotland too, it is more common North of the border-dunno why!

Keep fighting!

Tony

Hey Tony! Yep, my mum is an old crohnie too, I told her about this forum and she was so excited, bless her. I'm going to her house to get her set up and registered soon!

I know what you mean, us jocks get all the crap eh? Lol.

''Constant rain and Chronic pain!''

Lol.

Yes, Crohn's is more common the further you get from the equator. I know another auto-immune disorder with the same tendency... Multiple Sclerosis.
