My 5' 9" son has hovered around 100 lbs for the past 2 months or so...gets up to 105 then falls back to 95. BUT, he just hit 110 this morning, so I think we've turned a corner!

And I credit the introduction of peanut butter into his diet! I think he's been eating about half a cup a day...

Our hot water heater died and we were without hot water for 5 days...when I finally got into the kitchen to start cleaning up, I found 4 empty jars of peanut butter in the recycle bin!

Woohoo! So fab to hear Amy and so hoping it continues! :dusty::dusty::dusty:

All hail the power of peanut butter! :worthy:

Dusty. :)

I too love the PB and have lately discovered the wonder of PB and Nutella sandwiches:) As a non-chrony, I also add almonds for crunch but PB and Nutella makes an awesome combo!!

Woo hoo!!!!

Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than when my boy gains some weight! And I think you are right about turning a corner because that was exactly what happened when we started to turn the corner.

It's a great snack at school too but with all the peanut allergies out there it was banned at my son's school. I called the school nurse and explained our situation. She checked and my son didn't actually have anyone in his grade that had an allergy, it was the grade above him, so she okayed it. Worth asking about anyways...

Cliff bars are good at school too for a snack. My son loves the chocolate chip. Our GI recommended them and they helped Johnny with weight gain.

Long may it continue!!!!

There is always soybutter , wow butter, almond butter, pea butter etc...
Which can be safely eaten at school if there are peanut allergies .

Good news!

The nutritional benefit of peanut butter is protein, right? Maybe his body is craving protein? Wonder what a few daily protein shakes might do for him...

Wow excellent news.
Unfortunately no Peanut butter for our home, Ella has nut allergy. I love it but my waistline sure doesn't!!
You must be really pleased with the gain :)

Thankfully for him, there's no ban on peanut butter at school. And thankfully for me, I recently found some great, organic peanut butter coupons. ;)

He's on the SCD, so Cliff bars are out, but he can have several of the Larabars. :)

He had been eating some almond butter, but he grew up on peanut butter, so that's what tastes good to him and that's what he's going crazy for!
