Ok so after 16days of Flagyl and 11lbs lost (I'm down to 104) the only difference is less gas. So bc of the extreme weight loss and chronic bms (4-12 a day) the DR started me on Entocort 9mg a day for 30 days and B12 shots once a month, oh yea now I have B12 anemia. So.....this is all new to me and my DR says the goal is remission and my question is is this gonna work. If you have had good or bad experiences with this steroid please let me know. I have been taking it for 3 days and had one B12 shot and I can tell that I have alot of energy but also that I cant seem to get that energy to go away at night. Im having crazy dreams and feel like I have to be doing something at all times. My eyes feel like they just wont shut. Compared to feeling like I cant function it is a nice change but is this just going to get progressively worse or maybe I will even out as it builds in my system? Just wanting some feedback thanks:)

I haven't had any B12 shots, but I've been on Entocort for about a week. During this week I wake up every night and have trouble sleeping again. Before I started on the meds I allways had a good sleeping heart, but now I seem to not go into deep sleep and just float on the top if you know what I mean. I also have dreams that are unrestfull and hectic sort of. I just learned that this is a side-effect of Entocort. The last couple of days I also have had a lot of energy after work, wich isn't normal for me. Typically I just fall back on the coach after work and zap the TV. I guess its not bad that I have a lot of energy to do other stuff now. :D But it also doesn't feel natural.. Interesting to hear other experiences as well.

I've been on it for 2 weeks and haven't noticed any side effects other than a headache the first week. It stopped the bleeding and my bm frequency is down slightly. I'm still going 7-10 times a day though. I started cimzia a few days ago so from this point, I won't know which drug is helping.

I've been on it for 14 weeks now. It took a month before I felt any benefit but when it did kick in I felt great! Apparently it can take up to a month to have an effect so maybe you'll need to be on it longer. I'm now down to 3mg. I had to taper 6mg for 6 weeks and now 3mg for 6 weeks. Now I'm on a lower dose I don't feel quite as good. I've never had the rush of energy that others have talked about.
My main side effect has been bad skin :( I also have problems wih sleep but had them prior to Entocort too.
I hope it gives you relief from yor symptoms without side effects
Good luck!
