I can just never feel good for more than a few weeks! I have been doing alright for the most part. But then I got a sinus infection and did a 10 day round of Augmenten, now my stomach hurts constantly again, I can't even pinpoint where it just feels almost sore, and like hunger pains, but the thought of eating makes me nauseous. I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy a week from Friday, and I'm nervous about that. I just don't understand, I had been feeling better!

Hi sorry for all you are going through. It can be tricky to get the right drugs to combat this disease, and can take a while to get them working properly. I hope you can get this sorted out soon. Best wishes, :hang:

Thank you!

I'm not sure what's going on. I have had the full loading dose of remicade the first 3 infusions, and I was feeling better.

I'm hoping it's just a bug or something else. Remicade is kind of the last option for me because I haven't really tolerated anything else.
Crohn's disease can really get your spirits down! And I don't want to tell anyone how bad I really feel because they've seen the improvement. I sometimes think the emotional toll is worse than the physical pain!

I'm been on Humira. My GI hasn't said anything about the other two. I have tried Humira, pentasa, asacol, M6, and entocort. I'm currently on imuran and remicade. The imuran he wants to get me off of once we decide the remicade is working. But at my last appointment he was talking about trying a ulcerative colitis medication because he said there weren't really other options if the remicade didn't work.

I don't think Stelara has been approved for IBD yet but you could ask your doctor about other biologics. Good luck.

Too late for this round, but i have found when I take antibiotics I have to alternate them with probiotics. I have worked with my doctor to prescribe a slightly lower dose to be taken more frequently (ie - taken 4xday) and then I take a probiotic at the halfway point. SO roughly every 2.5 - 3 hrs I take a pill - either anti or probiotic. It has made a world of difference -- no more digestive explosions with the introduction of antibiotics.

Now I am on different meds (Pentasa and Zegerid) than you so not sure if this would apply to someone on Remicade...

good luck!
