Hi everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster ;)

Like many of this forum, I've been through all the lovely drugs available to treat Crohn's. The best was inflixmed but after my second infusion all my joints swelled and I couldn't move for a couple of days. Mind you that didn't stop me begging them to try again seeing as I had 18 months remission the first time round and 12 months on the second go (with the reaction).

So Humira with 6MP has lost it's fun and I loathe everything that comes with a flare up. :ybatty:

I know Stelara is on the PBS for psoriasis and it's was being trialled for crohns but is there anybody in Australia that is has been prescribe to? I can't get in to clinic for another couple of weeks and the nurse didn't know. I'd be willing to pay for the infusion etc (yep that's the cost of wanting a normal life) but would love if there was any other way. My biggest concern is that it's still in the research stage :(

Can anyone tell me? I'm holding out on the fact that there might be something new.

Thanks in advance!!!
