Hi everyone,
Long time reader, first time poster
Like many of this forum, I've been through all the lovely drugs available to treat Crohn's. The best was inflixmed but after my second infusion all my joints swelled and I couldn't move for a couple of days. Mind you that didn't stop me begging them to try again seeing as I had 18 months remission the first time round and 12 months on the second go (with the reaction).
So Humira with 6MP has lost it's fun and I loathe everything that comes with a flare up. :ybatty:
I know Stelara is on the PBS for psoriasis and it's was being trialled for crohns but is there anybody in Australia that is has been prescribe to? I can't get in to clinic for another couple of weeks and the nurse didn't know. I'd be willing to pay for the infusion etc (yep that's the cost of wanting a normal life) but would love if there was any other way. My biggest concern is that it's still in the research stage
Can anyone tell me? I'm holding out on the fact that there might be something new.
