Hello everyone,
I posted not long ago about feeling very sad and again about a lot of pain...well today I went to see my GI and after only speaking to him for a short amount of time he booked me in for a flexible sigmoidoscopy later on in the afternoon. I felt like I was being taken seriously as sometimes I go and feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall and that usually makes me feel really bad.
So I had my first enema which was interesting, the nurse who helped me wit it laughed when she brought out the small bottle and I said I was expecting buckets hanging off the wall and big tubes lol. That all went fine but had a lot of discomfort during the procedure but the doc saidit was understandable as I'm still very inflamed. Hurray I was right I thought I still was...I'm not going mad. They also found an abcess which I guess explains some of the pain. They also said my skin tags were very bad so have given me steroid suppositories which I'm sooo looking forward too. Anyone else had them?
Have to go back in two weeks so they check if the steroids are helping and then they will decide what to do with my humira to up it or start the loading doses again.
I feel so happy that things are finally getting down such a weight of my shoulders.
Thanks for reading x
