Hi Ben... Well, that depends... How much do the pills weigh? ;-) Seriously, the effect (side effect) of steroids is commonly increased appetite. If you directly benefit (the steroids improve your condition) you may be able to eat more. Now, what you eat, feeling the urge to eat more, and your condition improving, might result in you gaining weight. Mal absorption issues, or eating the wrong stuff, may mean that you don't gain weight. Are you on a diet, or watching what you eat? Eating empty calories isn't wise when you've got IBD.
