Hello Cyber Supporters, For those of you who have been communicating with my jerman, thank you. I have an update on him. This evening he spiked a pain level of 9 and wasn't able to with stand the 10min drive to the hospital so i had to call the ambulance. After being taken to the local hosp. they were kind enough not to go thru all the same routine checks as to why your there again..... and try to figure it out again themselves. He was transported via ambulance to the hospital in Boston, per MD admission, great!!! We hope.... Maybe with him being admitted to a more educated hospital with GI Specialist/Surgeons we might get some answers. Here's hoping we will find 1 doctor that can give us answers!!! So as I made my promise to my dear hubby, I would update his cyberpeeps, lol. But thank you for all the information that has been shared here, we read alot constantly. Jermans Wife :)

Thank you Kim, just speaking to jerman on the phone - he is comfortable at this point, has had a team of staff in/out of his room and so far some relief that he was able to finally sleep better last night. Will continue to update as new info. becomes available. Laurie.

I am sorry it came to such an extreme. I hope Jerman is doing OK.

I really feel sorry for those who have extreme pain. I can't imagine having to deal with all that pain along with the rest of the symptoms.

He is in a good place. You should be able to get some answers now.

Best Regards

Dan

Hi all. Spoke to Jerman (Jerry) - he really thinks he's a super hero, like superman, lol, lets hope... He's been very tired but much more comfortable at this point. He will be having some other tests this week, I will find out more come Monday, currently the staff are trying to determine some sort of baseline and looking at some previous tests he's had. Jer appreciates the posts, I've had a chance to read most to him before the end of this evening, will print and bring them with me tomorrow when I see him. Not sure how long he'll be hospitalized but I hope they have all the answers before they release him again... Thanks again to you all! Laurie

Hope he feels better and soon, high pain is always horrid to go through because you can't think about anything else. I've been lucky enough to get by with this disease with only minimal encounters with such high levels.

I've been lucky enough to not have a lot of pain either. I can't imagine how the rest of you deal with that AND all the other joys of Crohn's. Anyway, Laurie, I hope you and Jerry get some answers and some relief soon. He's lucky to have you looking out for him!

Hello everyone - Here we are a few days out of Jerry's admit to Boston Hospital. He did his reading as I promised to bring along about the postings here and he was very thankful for all the kind thoughts. He had a ct scan today - 3rd this year and prepping for colonoscopy and endoscopy for tomorrow and talk of pill cam thereafter. We hope with this new testing something will come about. Keep you posted, it's been a long few days. Thank you again - Laurie.

hope the tests will give you some answers!! and not to take away from this thread but what you said reminded me of a question i had a while back. what is the big deal about ct scans? how come your not supposed to have a lot? ive had maybe 10-15 thru the spread of my life(only 18) but drs say thats a lot, so whats up with them?

Well all, Jermans back home. Waiting for any results from testing that hasn't already been reported. CT Scan and scopes were "normal" omfg.... He's home as uncomfortable as he was before, grrrr. Well i'm sure he'll be looking for his cyberpeeps a lil later when he's up to chatting.. Thank you all again. Laurie

Hi miss
s/antos, they gave me the bentyl and something called toradol ( ? ) for the pain. it doesnt seem to be doing a lot but the bentyl definately has helped with the ab spasms. The staff were all very professional and seemed quite competent. i have to wait a bit before looking to endorse the place to one of my new chronies. I hope that you are feeling better.
