Hi,

I was diagnosed with crohn's a couple of years ago. Had a few serious vomiting episodes and thought everything was OK til' now.

I've been dealing with what I thought was a UTI - took Cipro....got better. Pain returned with blood in urine. Culture negative. Now, I'm dealing with lower stomach pain (like a burning sensation). Had a few bouts of diarhhea. Stools are now dark and a bit bloody. Argh!!!! Going for blood tests tomorrow morning. Also, have had bloating, night sweats and joint pain. Im sure it's all related to my Crohn's but I find the stomach pain a little odd and quite frankly it's getting the best of me! :ybatty:

The pain began in my lower back, now has moved to just below my belly button. Has anyone with Crohn's out there had this?

I would get an H-Pylori test. I believe I had H-Pylori but the tests did not show it.
None the less, when I treated for it using a very unconventional method my stomach problem went away immediately and never returned.

I believe the test will show H-Pylori if it is in great enough concentrations.

Hope the blood tests went OK, and they'll provide answers. I never had a 'burning' pain in the stomach, but at my worst... between this, pancreatitis, cysts from that, and apparently a reaction to my 1st course of a/b, I had extremely severe stomach pains.. I described it at the time as literally felt like my stomach was filled w broken glass. Eating was a nitemare, even drinking got to the point where I couldn't drink water.. Wasn't long before I was rushed into the ER. Ah, the good old days. NOT! All one can do is keep after the docs to find out what is wrong, start treatment, and not let up on that process until you begin to improve.

Hi!

I get bad burning in the same location. The doctors have told me it's down to various medication.

Mainly Prednisolone. I was given Omeprazole to help. It works wonders!

I went for blood tests yesterday and suppose to get results tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see what's going oN! I still have the burn which is situated midway between pelvic bone & bellly button.

Interesting to hear that it was due to Meds Creepy Lurker. I got this weird symptom after having a nasty cold (ton of cough meds, tylenol, advil)....I also wondered if it could be from that. We'll see.

I found prevacid to work better, but the omeprazole works okay. Prednisone kicks up my stomach acid big time at the higher doses and it's not uncommon. Other things that do it to me are high sugar foods and fatty/fried foods.

I like the broken glass analogy as I've had it that bad a few times and could only describe it as my chest was on fire from the inside out.
