Stomach rumbling?

DD turned 15 yesterday (woohoo!) and while we were talking she told me that her stomach has started rumbling again....sometimes quite loudly. Before she had her resection, she had rumbling accompanied with pain as the food tried to pass through her terminal ileum. Since her surgery almost 9 months ago, she's been doing by great (THANK GOD!!!!!)). There is no pain with this rumbling but she says it's starting to happen every day and it's embarrassing in class. Should I be concerned that this has started again? She has not other symptoms and her labs last week looked great so I'm hesitant to call her GI. Is the rumbling just part of Crohn's?

My DD is 15 and has Crohn's as well and has loud rumbling at times as well. I just thought this was part of Crohn's, but I honestly don't know if you only hear it if things are very inflamed or blocked or what? Interested to see what others say. She is on Remicade and 6-MP and mostly asymptomatic (though not free of inflammation). Glad to hear things have been going so well since resection for your DD!

We have this problem too! But my daughter has had it when in remission too, so not sure if it's related?

Don't know, but just yesterday, I heard rumbling from the other room, it was so loud I thought it was a video game or something. It was my sons stomach. He said it didn't hurt, but it was loud and sounded awful to me. First time I've heard it like that....

I heard back from GI about this and she said that she's not concerned, it could just be gas. That said, if she starts having any other symptoms or the rumbling gets more frequent we can do an MRE.
