stomache tender to the touch

I recently had a flare up two days ago. It was bad. Felt better after going to the hospital. Morphine and nausea meds helped was home in 8 hours. I'm hungry and scared to eat. chicken soup seems to help along with ensure.

Anyway, I was wondering, how long do i have to wait to eat a decent solid meal? My stomache is tender to the touch, should i be worried?

I am sorry about your recent flare. I would try to stick to a low-res diet for a little bit to be sure all is calmed down and slowly start to add things into your diet.

My stomach gets tender to the touch sometimes, too. If it persists or gets worse, it wouldn't hurt to contact your GI. But I hope it will pass and you start to feel better soon!

I agree with Jill, gradually add things to your diet such as pudding, jello, and so on. My stomach pretty much always stays tender to the touch, sometimes alot worse than normal. If it continues or gets worse contact your GI to see what they think.
Hope you get better soon.

Yeah my tummy is tender to touch most of the time and unbearable during a flare... but if you're worried about anything, esp if it's out for the normal for you, you must ALWAYS see your doctor!

Hope your better soon

Mine stays tender to the touch. I will put a heating pad on it when it's bad. If nothing else, it gets me toasty warm. I stay cold, especially during flares. But I think it helps ease the tension in my muscles and helps me relax. I also lay with a pillow up to my stomach, kinda of on my side, half on my stomach, and the slight pressure seems to help too. But that's just what helps me. If it keeps up, go to the doctor.
