Strange back pain

I started my first dose of Remicade yesterday and today I have horrible lower back pain... Has anybody else had this happen to them?

My son just had his 2nd dose of Remicade and for two days afterward, both infusions, he complained of lower back pain. His treatments are on Friday so by the time Monday rolls around and the GI nurse calls to check in with us, he is no longer complaining of the back pain and I forget to ask about it. Sorry if that wasn't necessarily helpful but I hope the pain eases off.

That is listed as one of the side effects. If it gets worse or doesn't go away then see your GI right away. For now you could inform your GI and see what they have to say anyway. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000267/

Also scale of 1-10, how bad is the pain? Let your GI know that too.

The pain went away after I took Tylenol. On a scale of 1-10 it was like a 4. Thanks to you both

I don't get it in my lower back, but the evening and following day after my infusion I get terrible arthritis pains. They are usually in my knees and hips, but sometimes my hands and ankles too. Tylenol takes the edge off, and thankfully the pain never lasts.
