Had a really strange bm today the toilet was full of a strange color liquid a dark reddish orange color the bowl was full then the next bm was perfectly normal I have had some cramping today any ideas?

Did you eat anything with food coloring or beets? In the worst case it could signal blood from your lower GI or rectum if bright red but you said orange too which leads me to think its food related. Sometimes the poop color can be off and it doesn't mean anything but if you find it to be a theme it's worth more investigating. Glad your next one was normal.

Carrot juice can cause orange colour stool.
Red could be food dye or beets,and at the worst blood of course.
Smarties can give some interesting colours too.
