Starting this afternoon, I'm having a new pain. It's on the right side just under the ribcage, about 3 inches up from the bottom rib. I'll be just fine and all of a sudden, BOOM, it feels like something clutches your insides for about 3 seconds then releases. It's very pinpoint, in a small area, but a very deep pain. I'm currently having fairly normal BM &. I know the feeling of eating something bad and getting the "I'm going to go soon" pain. This is more intense. Any input would be appreciated.

Current meds:
9mg entocourt
200mg imuran
Cimzia
Nexium

Thanks,
chuck

Try to note if this happens after eating a meal with fats in it. The gallbladder releases bile when fatty food is eaten. I can get my gallbladder to kick in by eating lots of butter.

If this produces a pattern of pain then you should see a doctor as you may have gallstones or something else wrong with the gallbladder.

Medications can also cause liver stress which could result in pain. Have a blood test to see of your liver is OK.

Pancreatitis is also a possibility, but more unlikely.

Good luck.

Hi chuck. Just checking to see if youre still having pain.
If so, I'd suggest giving the doc a call.

I'm at the ER now. Getting ready for our favorite adventure, the CT scan. Thanks for all the input. It is very helpful.
