Welcome to the forum.

Strictures are the consequence of the continuous inflammation/ uninflammation process that occurs in the small intestine when you have Crohns Disease. I understand this is a kind of scar that narrows the inner diameter of the bowel.

About the “narrowing” it contains two elements, the inflammation and the stricture. The inflammation usually goes away with the treatments such as Prednisone, but the stricture is not easy to get rid of. If it is really necessary to remove a stricture usually a surgery does the job.

I am not a doctor, you can ask your Gastroenterologist to confirm this.
