Ugh, I'm an absolute FOOL.

Soooo... my abdominal CT was scheduled for today. Awesome.

Not so awesome... I fell asleep last night without setting my alarm. Woke up at 8:30, and had to be there at 9. Was supposed to start the barium an hour and a half before the test. I thought I'd try anyways and see since that stuff goes RIGHT through me anyway. Within an hour and a half, I'm usually assaulting the toilet.

So I got up, threw something on, and started running out the door. BUT my keys were nowhere to be found. I tore everything apart, lifting whatever was in sight. Throwing things around.

Finally, 10 minutes before I was supposed to be there (I lived 1/2 hour away), I resigned myself to the fact that I just wouldn't make it. Grrrrrrr. So, I called and cancelled. Frustrating to say the least. The next chance I'll get will be in 2 weeks. So no answers anytime soon.

Of course, right after I cancelled, my keys turned up. Grrrrrr...

At least I DID manage to get the hemochromatosis blood test done today. However, I'm still thinking that will be extremely weird since women aren't typically diagnosed until middle age and beyond. So, a dx of that at 24 will be quite odd...

Hey, stuff happens....Did you ever find out why he wanted the blood test done in the first place?

His secretary/office manager/whatever said the blood test was because my iron apparently did come back high. Odd.

Aw, that sucks hun! i'm so bad at waking up, i've done that more times than i can count...Too bad about the CT, another two weeks without answers does kinda suck. :(

Aw brutal! I have done stuff like that so many time! Ive shown up to my GI appointments 30min late and just acted like nothing was wrong! No one said anything luckily. But like has been said 2 more weeks isnt that bad. But it does really suck.
:(

Your just stressed and not feeling well :( Everyone has the days of turning the house upside down and the feeling of nothing is going right in the morning.

Thats funny that Fog Ducker mentioned showing up to GI appointments 30 min late and acting like nothing was wrong or hoping that no one would say anything. I do that sometimes!! I guess I am not the only one! Maybe the Doctors offices are used to people doing that and just dont say anything. The way I look at it is we give them a lot of business!! We are not the yearly check up people...We are visiting them enough throughout the year with crohns problems that they should let it pass and be empathetic to the fact that we are not feeling well if we show up late!!!!
